The Mid-Atlantic Quality Assurance Workshop (QAW) is a three day annual event that has been held each year since 1967 and is dedicated to highway materials and quality control/assurance of highway materials.

The states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia make up the Mid-Atlantic QAW. Sponsorship of the workshop is rotated yearly.

The mission of the Mid-Atlantic Quality Assurance Workshop is to promote, adopt and emphasize new transportation technologies and the implementation of proactive policies, practices, and procedures to ensure that the transportation infrastructure meets or exceeds its design life.  This workshop will offer a wide range of informational sessions on the latest technologies and practices that will support the goal of continuing the tradition of preserving quality control and quality assurance in maintenance and construction of nations roads and bridges.
